Heimspiel 2012

The exhibition «Heimspiel» (‘home match’) takes place every three years and presents regional art at the institutions Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Kunstmuseum and the project space Nextex. Organized by the canton of St. Gallen with support of the participating cantons Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Thurgau, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the State of Vorarlberg (Austria), it presents and supports contemporary art in a colourful and vivid exhibition. From more than 400 applications the jury decided on the works of 53 artists.

The following artists present their works at the Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen: Franz Amann, David Berweger, Beni Bischof, Ernst Bonda, Katalin Deér, Monica Germann Daniel Lorenzi, Rolf Graf, Alexander Hahn, Stefan Inauen, Aurelio Kopainig, Dominique Lämmli, Manon, Markus Müller, Caro Niederer, Johanna Nissen-Grosser, Patrick Rohner, Valentina Stieger, Peter Stoffel, Sebastian Stadler, U5.

At the Kunstmuseum the works of the following artists are exhibited: Roland Adlassnigg, Ingmar Alge, Joëlle Allet, Ruben Aubrecht, Dieter Berke, Zora Berweger, André Bless, Michael Bodenmann, Richard Bösch, Urs Eberle, Othmar Eder, Jon Etter, Marbod Fritsch, Marcus Geiger, Christoph Getzner Markus Getzner, Alex Hanimann, Barbara Hee, Thomas Hoor, huber.huber, Peter Kamm, Eric Lanz, Lutz&Guggisberg, Yves Mettler, Marianne Rinderknecht, Ilona Ruegg, Kilian Rüthemann, Christoph Rütimann, Karin Schwarzbek, Hans Schweizer, Francisco Sierra, Bernard Tagwerker, Costa Vece, Christian Vetter.

Our Opening Hours

Tuesday to Friday: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed on Mondays and certain public holidays
We are only open when we show exhibitions.

Accessibility

The Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen is almost free of barriers.
The main entrance is on Davidstrasse. It has stairs.
The accessible entrance is via the courtyard.
The entrance to the courtyard is at the corner of Geltenwilerstrasse and Davidstrasse.
There is a ramp (approx. 8% incline), and the path is paved.
Call us when you enter via the courtyard. We will open the door for you.

The restroom for wheelchair users is on the first floor. It is accessible for wheelchair users with accompanying persons.
