Our workshops for school classes give pupils, trainees and students a carefree approach to contemporary art and are intended to promote dialogue and independent thinking. In conversation and discussion before the original works, the participants are encouraged to exchange ideas and opinions. The personal impressions will be supplemented with background information on the artists, their work processes and cultural references, and the insights gained will be deepened and expanded through practical action. The aim is to familiarise children, young people and young adults with the different worlds of thought and working processes of contemporary artists.

Workshops last 1.5 hours and can be booked on the above mentioned dates, from 9 am - 5 pm.

For school classes from the cantons of St. Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Appenzell Innerrhoden the workshops are free of charge. For all other schools from Switzerland and from abroad a workshop costs CHF 150. For classes of the canton of Thurgau, there is the possibility that the canton of Thurgau covers the expenses (more information).  

The Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen's art education offers are also present on kklick.ch, a platform for cultural education in Eastern Switzerland.
