WE ARE CELEBRATING!
25th anniversary of Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen
7/8/9 May 2010
Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2010. This anniversary is an important event for an institution and its association which, since their beginnings, have believed in the central importance of contemporary art for society. Over the course of a quarter of a century the Kunst Halle has developed from a wandering community of interests of local producers of art into an internationally recognised exhibition venue in which over 400 artists have exhibited their works. The 25th anniversary will be celebrated in style and at the same time regarded as an opportunity to gain new impetus for the future.
For this occasion there will be a benefit exhibition over the weekend of 8 and 9 May at the Kunst Halle with an accompanying programme offering an opportunity to celebrate but also providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and discussion.
The benefit auction of the works is then taking place on 7 June 2010 as part of the Christie’s auction «Swiss Art» at Kunsthaus Zürich. This initiative is intended to make an important contribution towards the long-term consolidation of the future of Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen.
